Work

A timeline of the roles, teams, and problems I've worked on.

Jul 2023 — Present

VP of Engineering · Plane Software, Inc.

Hyderabad, India

Joined as Principal Engineer and now lead engineering as VP of Engineering at one of the fastest-growing open-source project management platforms.

Responsible for the technical strategy that takes Plane from an open-source project to a production-ready product — architecting for distributed systems and real-time collaboration, shaping the engineering organization, and setting the practices that keep the team shipping at pace as the product and team grow.

Jul 2021 — Jun 2023

Solution Designer · Deloitte Canada

Montreal, Canada

Part of the Oracle Customer Experience (CX) Transformation practice, focused on designing user interfaces and end-to-end experiences for e-commerce engagements on Oracle Commerce Cloud. Owned system integrations across the Oracle cloud ecosystem — including Oracle CX and Oracle ERP — through REST APIs, and shaped the solution architectures and implementation patterns used to translate business problems into interactive products.

Delivered for one of the country’s largest e-commerce companies, integrating payment systems and connecting inventory management between Oracle CX and Oracle ERP. Also worked with major Canadian banks to build an insurance marketplace where customers could compare and select coverage.

Established application architectures and design patterns that improved developer experience and code reusability across teams, and ran the day-to-day delivery cadence — managing teams, leading daily stand-ups, and applying scrum practices to keep engagements on track.

Feb 2021 — May 2021

Full Stack Engineer · Almega Co

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Built a property management and accounting platform from scratch, reporting directly to the CTO. Designed and shipped the system end-to-end using Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Next.js, with a focus on a clean service layer that integrated cleanly against the APIs with minimal overhead.

Owned the REST API architecture and applied design methodologies aimed at keeping endpoints performant under real workloads. Integrated payments and transaction services with idempotency guarantees so that a given payment could only ever be processed once, even under retries.

Jan 2020 — Apr 2021

Consulting Engineering Manager · Soulpage IT Solutions

Remote

Part-time consulting role held alongside the WealthTab engagement. Managed multiple teams and parallel projects, shaped product workflows and user stories, and ran the scrum and client cadences that kept delivery aligned across teams toward a shared roadmap.

Stood up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and continuous deployment, introduced design methodologies that improved developer experience, and owned production deployments end-to-end.

Feb 2019 — Jan 2021

Full Stack Engineer · WealthTab

Montreal, Canada

Built scalable fintech applications and interactive user interfaces using Next.js, AngularJS, Laravel, and Django. Owned project architecture end-to-end — from frontend implementation to REST API design — and shipped across multiple products in parallel.

Architected systems around a micro-service approach to keep individual services small and independently deployable, and ran development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance on AWS, GCP, and DigitalOcean.

Introduced internal design methodologies and tooling improvements that raised developer productivity across the team.

Jun 2016 — Dec 2018

Head of Engineering · Caravel.ai

Hyderabad, India

Led engineering across client consulting work and internal product initiatives. Designed and shipped progressive web applications backed by Python and Django REST Framework, with front-ends in React and Vue.js, and delivered native Android applications alongside them.

Drove a number of machine learning and data-driven projects using Python and TensorFlow, paired with D3.js for interactive visualization of the resulting models and datasets.

Established the team’s internal engineering practices and design principles, ran weekly planning and review cadences, and grew the team by hiring and mentoring engineers and interns through their first production projects.
